I miei amici di NSS ( Simona, più precisamente) gli hanno dedicato un bel pezzo al riguardo e prima del medesimo io non avevo nemmeno l'idea che tale paio di scarpe potesse avere un nome e un'identità così forte. Parlo delle Creepers e del loro "massiccio" ritorno.
Da Simona e spulciano il web, ho scoperto che questo paio di calzature, che io pensavo fosse legato semplicemente e banalmente a qualche sottocultura punk, in realtà ha una storia più lunga e complicata. Furono, i soldati inglesi di stazionamento nel deserto africano a portare per primi queste calzature di pelle con la suola alta e spessa in gomma, per proteggersi dal clima e dall'ambiente. Tornati in patria, diffusero tale uso tra le varie culture giovanili che, all'epoca (fifties) andavano formandosi. I teedy boys prima di tutto, poi i punk i psicobilly, i goth ecc.
La leggittimazione fashion arriverà negli anni settanta con la regina dello stile inglese e pop, Vivienne Westwood, che ancora oggi si diverte di tanto in tanto a riproporle in passerella.
(My friends in NapleStreetStyle (Simona, more precisely) have dedicated them a good piece, and before that I had absolutely no idea that this pair of shoes could have a name and a so strong identity . I'm speaking about Creepers and their "massive" return.
Thanks to Simona and sifting the web, I found that this pair of shoes, which I thought was related to some basic and commonplace punk subculture, actually has a longer complicated history . Were the British soldiers stationing in the African desert to wear them these shoes with leather soles and thick rubber high, to protect from climate and environment. Returned home, they spread its use among the various youth cultures that, at that time (fifties) were forming. Teedy boys first, then the psicobilly, the punk, the goth, etc..

Sarò sincera, non mi fanno impazzire. Ecco perchè, ho deciso di pubblicarne la storia: per cercare di meglio interpretarle, provando ad entrare nel loro mood. Ci sono in parte riuscita. non so se mai comprerò un paio di creepers, in realtà, ma se proprio dovessi cedere "in tentazione" opterei per questo modello di Alexander Wang: it rocks!!!
(I'll be honest, they don't really make me mad. That's why I decided to publish their story, to try to better interpret them, entering in their mood. It was partly successful. I do not know, if I ever buy a pair of creepers, in reality, but if you really had to try one one, I would opt for this model of Alexander Wang: it rocks!)

Io la chiamerei la maledizione della prima pioggia. In realtà di pioggia quest'anno ne abbiamo avuta talmente tanta, che più di prima, dovrei dire dell'ultima pioggia.
Pioggia che da ieri bagna la mia piccola esistenza, gonfiandomi esponenzialmente i capelli e, in maniera indirettamente proporzionale, sgonfiandomi l'uomore.
Chi legge, questo blog da un po', penso che un post come questo, un pizzico drammatico, leggermente malinconico, decisamente blu, se lo stava aspettando. Almeno da quando, cambiato l'orario, fa buio alle cinque e alle sette non c'è più un'anima in giro, nemmeno a resuscitarla con una seduta spiritica.
Fatta questa necessaria premessa, prologo di un mood che si riprenderà non appena il sole tornerà a splendere ( e tal proposito pensavo di inserire le previsioni del meteo in questa pagina), passo ai fatti, anzi ai disegni, anzi ancora alle immagine che più di tutto possono descrivere la mia situazione:

I should call it, the damn of the first rain. But, in reality, this year we have had so much rain, more than ever, that I should say the last rain.

Rain that since yesterday it's been washing my little existence, expanding exponentially my hair and, indirectly proportional, deflating my mood.
Who has been reading this blog for a while, maybe was already waiting for a post like this: a bit dramatic, slightly melancholy, very blue. At least, since it gets dark at five and at seven, there is not a soul around, not even to be resuscitate by seance.
Without this necessary preface, prologue to a mood that will recover once the sun will return to shine, I'll leave you to these images.

Ci sono alcune cose che a prima vista ti colpiscono. Sono cose, ma sarebbe meglio dire oggetti, che ti prendono, rapiscono la tua attenzione, facendoti l'occhiolino sia da una vetrina particolarmente addobbata, che da un sito web, decisamente di tendenza. Cose, torno a dire, che forse non utilizzeresti mai - di solito non fanno parte di nessun kit di sopravvivenza - ma che vorresti avere, per il semplice gusto di dire: "Io sì, li ho a casa e ne sono fiera".
Tra queste cose, io annovero, senza ombra di dubbio, questi deliziosi ferma camice di Proenza Schouler: eleganti, rock, vezzosi e ricchi di classe.
